Overview

In this article, we will review the Care Mobile basics.

Devices

Aline can provide guidance on device specifications and contact information of Third-Party Hardware Partners to acquire devices. The minimum technical specifications required to run the Care Mobile native application include mobile devices running iOS 15.1+ or Android 6+. The following devices have been validated for use with Aline Care Mobile:

  • Samsung A7 (Android)
  • Mini iPad 5th generation or higher (iOS)
  • Google Chromebook (2019 or later)

Don’t see the devices on this list that you use? Let us know and we can test and validate to ensure that your care givers receive the expected experience while using Aline Care Mobile.

Accessories

Cases/Covers

It is recommended that you put the mobile devices in cases to protect against normal wear and tear. Additionally, cases or covers with your Company’s sticker/logo can be helpful in differentiating these devices from the staffs’ personal devices.

Charging Station

It is recommended that each community establish a central hub for all of the Care Mobile devices. This is often times in the nurse’s station or med room. This centralized location would contain a multi-device charging station and sign in/out sheet to ensure that all devices are ready for each shift and accounted for.

Policy and Procedure

  • Add Care Mobile devices to your company Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform to optimize and streamline governance, updates, and technology policy compliance.
  • Assign ownership of “keeping up” with the devices at the community level. This is typically the Care Director/Nurse in the community.
  • Create a process for alerting Corporate/Support Center when devices need to be replacedAs updates to the Aline Apps are released, this person should also be responsible for making sure all devices are on and have been updated. Label all of the devices with the Device ID or Number using a sticker.
  • Ensure that all care givers or Care Mobile users understand who their “go to” person or super user is in the event of technical issues or questions.
  • Create and distribute Policy/Procedure documents outlining appropriate use of Care iPods – what to do, what not to do with them (if not already covered in Company technology use policy).

Installation

Distribute the Care Mobile application via your MDM platform or direct device download using the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Search for and download Aline Care Mobile
